We were given a task to write an essay of 2000 words on the topic chosen. So the topic that I chose was Circular fashion. Here is just a little glimpse of the mind-map and what I wrote in my essay- Let’s start from the beginning and explore what the Linear Fashion Model is before digging into the significance of Circular Fashion and why we need to make a move towards it. Circular fashion’s regenerative nature implies your clothes go from cradle to cradle, rather than cradle to grave. It effectively transforms the end of life into the start. When we no longer need our garments, we return them to the production cycle to be turned into something new, which is known as circular fashion. Not only does it change the game for an industry that accounts for 4% of global garbage, but it also makes letting go a little easier for those of us who grow more connected to clothing with each new hole it earns (Jacqueline Goodwin, 2020)

To summarise, the Linear Model is a take-make-dispose model that has been shown to have a number of severe environmental and societal consequences. Unlike fast fashion, which benefits only the firms and wholesalers by selling items cheaply, circular fashion establishes a system in which farmers gain additional benefits without having to produce in excess.
