Silly me, thinking that retailing is about buying and selling of goods & services to earn profit. But little did I know that it is the core element of any brand. The first class was quite beneficial to me in many ways! I learnt a new term for the offline/ physical stores called brick and mortar. We discussed about store retailing and non-store retailing. We even discussed about the importance of retailing in India. Not to miss the fun part of the class, THE QUIZ (Not that I knew answers to it but it was still so much fun!). So it was all about guessing where the brand was originated and what was its parent company. At last, we were given a task wherein we had to come up with a brand and the retailing format that they are following.
